Autism Spectrum Disorder Workshop Feb. 6

There is an Autism Spectrum Disorder Workshop presented by BC Adaptive Snowsports and Canucks Autism Network on Saturday, February 6 from 9 a.m. to noon at Trickle Creek Lodge meeting room in Kimberley Alpine Resort.

Hosted by East Kootenay Adaptive Snowsports (EKAS), this workshop will be an overview on Autism Spectrum Disorder and the training techniques that will benefit instructors out on the snow and in other recreational pursuits.

ASD specialist, Stephanie Jull from the Canucks Autism Network will share resources, and tips and tricks to engage and enhance the on-snow experience for students and instructors.

The morning indoor session only: $5 at the door.

The afternoon session is on snow and will cover ski teaching techniques for students with ASD. Full day session includes morning presentation and afternoon on-snow training: $50
