Celebrating Health Care Golf Tourney at Copper PointPosted: August 2, 2012

The Celebrating Health Care Golf Tournament is back this summer! The East Kootenay Foundation for Health, in partnership with title sponsor Kootenay Savings, is once again returning to Copper Point (Ridge Course) for our annual charity golf tournament on Saturday, August 25.

This year’s event, which will support the ‘A Clear View ~ digital stereotactic mammography campaign’ for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital, takes on extra special meaning for our title sponsor, as a number of Kootenay Savings employees have fought, or are currently fighting, breast cancer.

Over the tournament’s past four years, golfers, sponsors and supporters have helped raised over $88,000 towards the Invermere District Hospital emergency and pediatric departments!  This year’s event is taking a regional approach to bring leading-edge technology in breast cancer care at the East Kootenay Regional Hospital.

The tournament’s four person team “shamble” format is perfect for golfers of all abilities, from novice to experienced players.  Sign up today, either as a foursome or an individual, to get in on the fun!

The $125 tournament entry fee/golfer includes:

18-hole shotgun start at 1 p.m.;

Tee gifts for all participants;

Hole in One, Closet to the Pin and Door prizes;

Dinner from The View restaurant @ Copper Point;

Chance to bid on silent auction items.

Most important of all; it’s an opportunity to have a ton of fun and make a significant contribution to healthcare in the East Kootenays while you’re at it!

To register, please contact Darren Ottenbreit at Copper Point by calling 250-341-3392, ext# 1 or email [email protected].   If you have any questions regarding the tournament or the ‘A Clear View’ campaign, please contact Donna Grainger at 1-877-489-6481 or [email protected].
