Hockeyville nominations underway
In a way, it’s like picking a needle out of a haystack-size pile of needles.
But Kraft Hockeyville 2016 is back, seeking nominations for recognition of being one of Canada’s top hockey towns and win needed funds for community arenas.
Nominations are currently underway and three East Kootenay communities/arenas have been nominated, including Marysville Arena, Kimberley Civic Centre and Fernie Memorial Arena.
The three thus-far nominated rinks/communities are among many nominations received thus far, with nominations continuing until March 7.
Discover all the communities across Canada that have been nominated for a chance to become the next Kraft Hockeyville at Sportsnet’s website.
Show your support for all the nominees! Upload photos, and join the conversation on social media by sharing the nomination page. Every little bit helps on the road to the Top 10.
The Top 10 communities will be announced on March 5.
