The 7th Annual Lorne Rowe Memorial Charity Tournament will take place this year on Monday, August 31 at Mountainside Golf Course with all proceeds going to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

For 22 years, Lorne “Prosie” Rowe was the face of golf in Fairmont Hot Springs. As the club professional at Mountainside Golf Course here at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, Lorne touched the lives of many people and we are pleased to host such a wonderful event every year in his honour.

The tournament begins at 10 a.m. with breakfast and is played Texas Scramble style. For $119 per person the tournament includes: Play 18 holes of golf with a power cart included;Breakfast; On-course food and beer sampling station; Dinner; Lots of prizes.

The Canadian Diabetes Association is a charity dear to the hearts of Lorne’s family and over the past six years a total of over $33,500 has been raised to support diabetes research from this tournament. We are very excited to once again donate the green fees and carts for this year’s event and continue our relationship with the Lions Club of Fairmont, which leads the fundraising drive.
