Rockies and Nitros at Canal Flats Nov. 15

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) is coming to Canal Flats Nov. 15.

CFArenaLocated almost half way between the two competing teams, the Canal Flats Arena is welcoming the Columbia Valley Rockies and the defending KIJHL champions Kimberley Dynamiters, once again the class of the league with a sparkling 16 win, one loss record. The Rockies remain a much-improved squad over the past few seasons, with a 10 win, 11 loss record heading into the weekend’s action. The Rockies are only two points back of the Fernie Ghostriders for third place in the Eddie Mountain Division.

The puck drops at 6 p.m. for the first KIJHL game to be played in the Flats for many years.

All the usual fun stuff will be on hand including the puck toss, the Rockies Bar courtesy of Arrowhead Brewery and the usual suspects; and some cool ticket and door prizes.

Kids under six and registered minor hockey players aged 12 and under get free admission.
