Still time to take on Everest

The fourth annual Slopes for Hope returns to Kimberley Feb. 8.

The purpose of this event is to raise funds to assist the Canadian Cancer Society in the pursuit of its mission – the eradication of cancer and enhancement of the quality of life for those living with cancer.

Slopes for Hope runs Saturday, Feb. 8 
from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Kimberley Alpine Resort and Kimberley Nordic Club. It is free entry fee for children and youth to the age of 18.

Descending Everest

Can you ski the height of Everest? That works out to be 16 passes of the main run at the Kimberley Alpine Resort, for a $20 event fee per person and a day pass at Kimberley Alpine Resort.

Everest Trek

A 24-km Nordic skiing challenge at the Kimberley Nordic Club- $20 event fee per person.

Everest Warrior

You decide how to concur this challenge but you have two Everest Trek and Descending Everest
for $20 event fee per person and day pass at Kimberley Alpine Resort.

Participate individually or in teams of up to four people with your family, friends and co-workers.

Event registration and free breakfast in the Stemwinder at Kimberley Alpine Resort.

9:30 a.m. – Opening Ceremonies & Participant mandatory event safety meeting

9:45 a.m. – Warm up stretch & Yoga with Mountain Pose Yoga in the Plaza

3 p.m. – Closing Ceremonies & Free BBQ
Prizes awarded within each Everest Challenge Category to the Top fundraisers   (Min. of $100 raised)

4 p.m. – Official after party at the Stemwinder; Event slide show and Live Music
