City seeks projects for tourism infrastructure investmentsPosted: February 17, 2013

Kimberley is a BC Resort Municipality and receives provincial funding to enhance its tourism economy. The city and its partners in tourism are seeking project ideas and proposals to consider for investment.

Kimberley receives approximately $85,000 per year for tourism infrastructure investments, and in 2013 approximately $35,000 is uncommitted.

Between now and March 1, 2013, Kimberley’s community organizations and interested individuals are invited to submit short proposals outlining tourism infrastructure investment projects that will benefit Kimberley’s tourism economy. Projects can take place over multiple years.

Proposals should address the following criteria on which they will be assessed by Kimberley’s Tourism Infrastructure Advisory Committee:

1) The partner organization’s capacity to deliver results;

2) Dollars leveraged from other sources; and

3) Potential benefits to tourism sector.

Proposals must be submitted by 4 p.m. MST on March 1, and should be no more than two pages long. Please submit proposals to: [email protected] or
