Headbanger Festival returns to Radium

The Village of Radium Hot Springs is the epi-centre for headbanging in the East Kootenay.

With a Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep herd numbering about 200 plus ewes and rams, the village and surrounding area is one of the best places in North America to observe these magnificent creatures up close.

And to help celebrate their close relationship with the herd, the Village of Radium Hot Springs is once again hosting the Headbanger Festival, from Friday, Oct. 24 to Sunday, Oct. 26, in time for the annual rut – when rams come head-to-head.

Along with soaking in all that Radium and area has to offer, the festival will provide participants with plenty of education about bighorn sheep.

Tickets for the festival are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Call 250-347-6455 or go to www.radiumhotsprings.ca/event for more.
