It will be hosted by the City of Cranbrook Leisure Services Playground Program leaders. Kids can start lining up with the leaders around 11:15 a.m. near the bandstand, in the seated area, with the parade starting at 11:30 a.m.

We welcome kids to bring their bikes, wagons, tame animals, and best costumes for this event. We will have several special mascots joining us on this day, including the A & W Root Bear, McDonald’s friends, Smokey the Bear, and more! The first 30 kids to line up for the parade get a free helium balloon! The leaders will also be giving out prizes.

Join the Playground Leaders for parachute activities in the park to follow. We will be face-painting moustaches to help kids get ready for the Sam Steele Mustache Competition! We look forward to seeing you there.

How can you be involved? Easy! Just bring your kids down to Rotary Park, and we will show them how to join the parade. Have your child wear their favorite costume, and they could even win a sweet prize.

For more questions on the parade, phone Playground Supervisor Emily at 250-489-0245 or email her at [email protected].
