Mining Week tour schedule released
Mining Week this year is Sunday, May 11 to Saturday, May 17.
During this period, Teck will once again be offering mine tours at each operation in partnership with the Sparwood Chamber of Commerce.
Here is the schedule:
May 12 – Fording River Operations
May 13 – Line Creek Operations
May 14 – Coal Mountain Operations
May 15 – Elkview Operations
May 16 – Greenhills Operations (pictured above)
A bus will pick up participants and depart at 9:30 a.m. from both the Fernie Chamber of Commerce and the Blairmore Mall in Crowsnest Pass. They will connect at the Sparwood Chamber of Commerce, gather local participants, and depart at 10:30 a.m. for the designated site. For the May 12 – Fording River Operations and May 16 – Greenhills Operations, the pickup time would be 11 a.m. from the Elkford Visitor Center.
