September in the East Kootenay ‘13

We of the East Kootenay return to ‘normal’ in September.

Our wayward ways and the need to play are settled down by the urge to prepare for the oncoming half year of survival mode.

Children return to school; the lights come back on in political arenas; and business teams start to ice full squads for the first time in several months.

It’s back to work and to business and September’s gentle coolness and crisp, welcoming days are perfectly suited to accommodate that reality.

As a shooter – I love September’s light. When you get a good day (any day is a good day when one can get out and about in this region and play with their camera gear) in September, it’s a great day.

Getting out and about has been difficult the past few months but I was able to roll into Whiteswan Provincial Park mid-month on a great day. Many of this month’s feature images are from that glorious afternoon.

Images in this month’s collection are from: Cranbrook; Alces Lake/Whiteswan Lake/Whiteswan PP; Gold Creek Road and area; Fernie/Coal Creek; Elko; JimSmith; Kimberley; Mission Road/?Aqam; and Windermere.
