Young boy found by searchers
Search and Rescue volunteers from Cranbrook and Kimberley, organized by Kimberley RCMP, have helped bring about a best-case scenario at Premier Lake, east of Skookumchuck, as two-year-old Issac Leuenberger has been found and is safe.
A search was initiated on April 30 at Premier Lake Provincial Campground when young Isaac disappeared while out for a walk with his mother and two siblings.
Family and others initially searched the area and then called police who activated Search and Rescue.
Kimberley RCMP confirmed at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon (May 1) that the youngster had been found.
