• Anne Davis is a writer, blogger, artist and photography buff. Born in Quebec, she now lives in Kimberley, BC where she is editor of and contributor to the City of Kimberley’s Active Community Guide and webmaster for the City’s websites.

Bob Ede

• Bob Ede was born and raised in the Columbia Valley. Bob mows lawns as a profession and spends as much time cruising the backroads as possible. He takes his role as pack leader to two dachshunds very seriously. He is an avid photographer, fisherman, writer, historian and a full time crank.

Bram Rossman

• Pushing limits challenging boundaries and then going a step beyond is all in a days work for Bram Rosman. A provincial and national award-winning photojournalist based in the Kootenay Rockies, Bram's passion for the outdoors has led him and his many lenses up mountains down rivers and through many snow storms in an on going quest for outstanding images of the people and places around him. • Carol Gordon is a wellness consultant, writer/photographer, artist and entrepreneur. She has called the Columbia Valley her home part-time since 1981 and full-time since 1999.

David Savage

• David B. Savage, BA (Econ), P. Land, ACC, President of Savage Management Ltd. • Gerry Warner is a City of Cranbrook Councillor, a semi-retired journalist, a lover of the great outdoors and a bit of an iconoclast. His passion now is to complete his bucket list, live long enough to have grandchildren and to confront the ideologues of the world whenever he can. His views are his own and he is not speaking for Cranbrook Council.

Larry Halverson

• Larry Halverson was born in the spring of ’48. He weighed 7lb.10oz. His mother and dad loved him. Larry has always liked the outdoors and could often be found bent over, observing some little critter. It only seemed natural that he pursued a degree in zoology. Upon graduating, he worked for the Canadian Wildlife Service studying wolves. Then in 1972 he moved to the Columbia Valley to work as a Naturalist for Kootenay National Park. He retired from Parks Canada in 2008 and has become an avid fly fisherman - making fish very nervous. Larry sits on numerous education, communication and conservation committees/boards. He is the co-founder of Wings Over the Rockies Bird Festival and is currently on the board of directors for the Columbia Wetlands Stewardship Partners and an emeritus board member for the Canadain Intermountain Joint Venture, one the newest North American Bird Conservation Initiatives. He has an incredible network of contacts and is often called upon as an advisor and consultant in the communication, science, education and technology fields. He is the recipient of a Governor General's award and medal for his service and contributions to Canadians and his community.

Mary Giuliano

• Mary Giuliano has lived in Fernie since 1953. After marriage she and her husband Nick chose to remain in Fernie to raise their children because they both felt this was a great place to live. Mary remains committed to Fernie, she has been a councillor with the City for three terms (9 years) and is currently the Mayor of Fernie. Mary has always been and still is a very involved community volunteer. She hosts a talk show on Shaw Community Channel also seen on line at fernietv.com (10 years), has contributed to the Free Press as a columnist and reporter for 22 years as well as writing for other publications. She also has a blog on fernie.com, a premier website featuring all things Fernie.

Miranda Holmes

• Miranda Holmes is a former journalist who spent a decade working on toxics and genetic engineering for Greenpeace and other environmental organizations in Canada and the UK. She has also worked on human rights and development issues. She is now an associate editor of the award-winning Watershed Sentinel magazine.

Niels Kunze

• Niels Kunze is a writer of spiritual fiction, philosophy, metaphysics, poetry and cognitive sciences. His first published works comprise The Muse Trilogy, including The Thousand-Petalled Lotus: The Flower of Human Consciousness (1996), Butterfly Dreams: The Nectar of Transformation (2005), and Liquid Immortal: The seed of God (currently in production). Humanity Incorporated: A SAFE Solution to the Enslavement of Earth's Biosphere (2012) is a sobering departure from the fictional abstractions explored in The Muse Trilogy. It is a serious invitation to collaboratively participate in a glorious future. In addition to writing, Niels is an avid song-writer and rhythm guitarist for the original rock band Missing Peace. Their debut album Tense Moments (1996) is a classic among revolutionaries. Currently, two more albums are in production after a ten-year hiatus. Niels also relishes the role of producer and sound engineer on such musical endeavours. He lives in British Columbia, Canada.

Stephanie Stevens

• Stephanie Stevens is a writer and professional photographer who once again lives back home in the Columbia Valley. Stephanie earned a great reputation as a community journalist while employed with The Valley Echo in Invermere, between 2002-2006. Her gentle, musing style is sometimes blended with fire and passion and at other times humour. Today she manages a Columbia Valley ranch with her husband Tony and an assortment of pets.

She was a regular columnist for the Cranbrook Daily Townsman for several years before becoming the senior writer for Kootenay Business magazine (Koocanusa Publications Inc.).
