Harvey Ross TRAVIS

On May 25th, at the age of 86 years, our beloved husband, father & grandfather, Harvey Travis, passed away peacefully, supported by his loved ones and caregivers.

A lifetime resident of the Elk Valley, Harvey was born in Natal on January 12, 1935. He was an honorable and loving man whose devotion to his family was extraordinary; they were always first and foremost in his life. Harvey enjoyed any excuse for a family gathering, and Christmas was always his favourite time of year. He was an avid reader and was also an expert fly fisherman, always happy to share his knowledge with others.

Harvey will be remembered with love as we cherish the beautiful memories of our times together. His legacy will live on forever ….. until we meet again.

Harvey is survived by his wife of 66 years, Sally Travis; his children Judy (Fred) Komenac and Ross (Karen) Travis; grandchildren Laura (Mike) Picco, Kevin (Becky) Travis, Adam (Kayla) Komenac, and Megan Komenac (Tyler), and great grandchildren Fiona and Aida Picco, and Noah and James Komenac. He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Ann Travis, brothers Alec and Herbie Travis, and sister Peggy Patterson.
