2010 – 2020

It is with heavy hearts we are announcing the sudden passing of April Rae Lynn Goodwin, on September 7, 2020

April was born in Cranbrook, B.C., to parents Joel Brent Goodwin and Serena Lynn Warnick on July 17, 2010. April attended grade 4 at Aqamnik Elementary School.

April was full of life. She loved her cats and dogs, but her true passion was with her horse “Fire”. Her and Fire were a strong team and in the Peewee division with the Kootenay Barrel Racing Association. Another passion of April’s, she had a love for the mountains and hiking with her mom. She also played hockey with the Kimberley Sparklers as well as she loved playing basketball.

You could always find April in the barn playing with the cats or climbing where she should not have been. With Covid and stay at home orders, she inherited some baby chicks that she helped to raise and fell in love with one little red hen, who she named Flame.

April is survived by her Father, Joel Brent Goodwin, brothers, Corbin and Easton, Grandparents, Brent and Lorrie Goodwin, Great Papa and Mama, Janet and Gordon Atwood, Auntie Brandy Vogt (Clay) Daylen and Brenna, Auntie Kimberley Oler (Truman) Lane, Jax, and Callie, Auntie Bobbie (Wade Donald) Colt and Jayden, and many Great Aunts and Uncles, and Cousins.

Her mother, Serena Lynn Warnick and brother Waylon Hedrich. Her Grandmother, Kristine Lynn Howe (Guy Authier), Grandfather; Daryl Warnick, Great Grandfather; John Howe, Uncle Kyle Warnick, Cousin Melody Marie Skjonsby, Great Aunt, Deborah Howe (Arnold Kiljan), Auntie, Jocelyn Renaud (Lindse Boroski) Nicola Gauthier, and Stepfather, Richard Hedrich.

April is predeceased by her Great Grand Parents Cecil and Eunice Goodwin, and her Great Grandmother Wendy Howe.

April, our little sweetheart we are going to miss you.

Both families’ wish to thank everyone for your kind words and support.

Due to Covid-19 : There will be a private family graveside service at the Kimberley Cemetery.
