Obituary for Barbara Anne Fontaine
Barbara Anne Fontaine (nee Jones) of Bedford, NS, passed suddenly at her home in BC on August 17, 2019, at the age of 80.
A devoted mother and wife, she will be remembered for her love of animals and nature and the beauty of her meticulously kept gardens, where she loved spending so much of her time. Beneath her gentle manner lay great strength and perseverance in the face of adversity. She cared for everyone and everything that came into her life, with her beloved family being foremost.
Barbara is survived by her mother Violet of 99 years, was predeceased by her Dad, Stan (1987), and was the dear sister of brothers Terry (Kris), Randy (Debi) and Dan (Belinda), Bedford, NS. She is also survived by her son Thomas (Joanne) and her daughters Lynn (Craig) and Jennifer (Ward) and her two granddaughters, Brianna and Alissa. She also leaves behind her husband Michael, Cranbrook, BC. Barbara will be missed and remembered by a large extended family across the country.
