Obituary for Bride Corcoran

Bride CORCORAN

May 14, 1938 ~ July 16, 2020 (age 82)

On Thursday, July 16th, supported by her loving family and caregivers, Bride Corcoran left her earthly home, reunited once again with her beloved husband Raymond and all those who went before. Mary Bridget Power, aka “Bride” was born May 14, 1938 in Branch, NFLD to parents Alban and Mary.

Bride was a faithful member of the Catholic Church and the CWL. She was always willing to give of her time and talents, often volunteering many hours helping in any way she was needed. She especially loved children. Bride spent years teaching school and Catechism, embracing them all with her kind and gentle spirit. When she was not busy teaching, Bride also enjoyed singing and playing the piano, or tending to her meticulous flower gardens.

Family was always first and foremost in Bride’s life. Ray was her best friend and soulmate, the true love of her life. She warmly embraced her children and all those she loved unconditionally and without judgement. When Bride loved, she gave you her whole heart!

Bride is survived by her sons Alban and Donald (Susan); 5 precious grandchildren: Kyle, Reid (Bailey), Taylor Marie, Joshua, and Christopher (Adelle) and 2 beautiful step-grandchildren, Matthew and Marnie-Lynne. She is also survived by the mothers of her grandchildren, Debbie and Wendy, and siblings John (Theresa), Gerald (Anna), Janet (Anthony), Patricia (Richard) and Benny as well as numerous nieces and nephews who she dearly loved.

Bride was predeceased by her parents, brothers Jim and Patrick, her sister Elizabeth, and her beloved husband Raymond and their son Daniel.

The Corcoran family would like to thank the staff at Rocky Mountain Village for their care and support of Bride during her residency there. Her last years were peaceful, secure, happy, and full of love. Thank you all!
