Obituary for Janice Marie Passmore

Janice Marie Passmore

May 26, 1955 ~ July 12, 2019

With heavy hearts the family of Janice Marie Passmore wishes to announce her sudden passing at her home in Cranbrook, B.C July 12, 2019.

Janice was raised in Moose Jaw, Sask and graduated from Vanier College in 1972. She had several careers including Valley View Center, Citizens Hall and Quality Childcare. When Dick and Janice decided to retire and move to Cranbrook, she reached the peak of her career by successfully running Inessense with her daughter Julie in the Town n Country Mall until 2014.

Janice was a family orientated woman who was the “rock” of the family, always providing guidance and a shoulder to cry on for whomever needed it. She loved spending time on her deck admiring the mountains. Janice also cherished spending as much time as possible with her grandsons who referred to her as “Ma”. She maintained close contact with her Moose Jaw friends and family and will leave a huge hole in all the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Janice was predeceased by the love of her life Dick (April 3, 2019), her parents Hazel and Joseph Thome, father-in-law Melville and son-in-law Jeff Seip (February 14, 2019).

She will be sadly missed by her son Jason Carpentier (Kim), son David Passmore (Chrissy), her best friend and daughter Julie Seip, grandchildren Deion, Evan, Mia, Summer, brother Brad Thome, mother-in-law Roberta Passmore, special niece Jackie Fontaine and special friends Delaine Smith, Judy Boyer, Norm and Hilda Dunsmore and many others.

A private memorial in Cranbrook will be held at a later date.
