It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Dorothie Ann Peasley (Wilkinson) Dorothie was born on August 20th 1942 in Calgary Alberta and passed away July 27th 2021 in Jaffray B.C. with family by her side.
Dorothie was raised in Jaffray, and this is where she spent most of her life. She had two children Shane and Cindy that she loved very much and would do anything for them. She was an amazing cook and gardener everything she touched was beautiful and well thought out. We were so proud of her when she graduated from the College of the Rockies, as a chef. She took her jobs seriously and everything was to perfection. Most of the time she worked more than one job just to make ends meet. She loved to cook in guide camps, restaurants, in the deli and at the hospital; this was her retirement job. In her spare time she loved to garden. Every place she lived had a beautiful garden, she worked hours making sure there were no weeds and everything was just beautiful. Roses are her favorite, you can never have enough roses she would say.
Dorothie was a loving Mother, Nan, Great Nan, Aunt, and very dear friend to many. Mom you will be missed dearly, we love you. Dorothie leaves behind. Son Shane Grandchildren Tiara, Wade, Clayton, Shawn, and Shea-Lynn Daughter Cindy (Dennis) Lightburn, Grandchildren Alisha (Vince) Mostyn, Shalane (Kyle) Wilson, Katelynn (Franky) Gyulai, Kelsey (Stuart) Hollyoake and Brody. Great Grandchildren Addison, Quincie, Presley, Aiden, Karver, Gracelynn, Georgia, Hannah, Wyatt, Tyrell, and Rya. Many nieces, nephews and very dear friends.
Dorothie is Predeceased by her parents Charles and Elsie, Brothers Fred and Gordon, Sisters Elaine, Sharron, Thelma and Margaret
A Celebration of life Luncheon will take place at the Jaffray Seniors Centre on August 20th, 2021 at 12pm
