Obituary of Frances Breland

Frances BRELAND

June 20, 1935 ~ October 7, 2021 (age 86)

With family by her side, Frances (Gawryluk) Breland passed away at the Elk Valley Hospital on Sunday, October 7th at the age of 86 years.

Frances was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Ernie Breland, in 1995, sisters Anne George and Mary Mandel, and brothers John and Peter Gawryluk. She is survived by her four children: Joe (Carmaine) Breland, Linda (Victor) LaLonde, Deb (Laurie) Danielson, and Carol (Ken) Holden; her grandchildren Shawna (Kevin), Brad (Erin), Scot (Michelle), Keith, Adam (Kim), Sarah (Mathieu), Crystal (Darryll), Paul, Danielle (Chris), and Renee (Dustin); great grandchildren Aymie, Jordan (Ashley), Deagan, Jaiden, Kirksen, Illiana, Haelyn, Collin, Kaleb, Annabella, Gabriel, and DJ, and great great grandchildren, Korbin and Georgie. She is also survived by siblings Joey Gawryluk, Nancy Gawryluk, and Diana (Gordon) Pelletier as well as many nieces and nephews.

Frances worked at the Elk Valley Hospital for 27 years between housekeeping and laundry. She loved her family and friends, working in her flower garden, and playing in local the dart leagues. Frances also loved her Keno and had her share of wins over the years!

The Breland family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Hamett and Dr. Michael, and all the nurses at the Elk Valley Hospital for the care given to our mom and grandma.
