The HABS performance of late had given him great frustration causing him to refer to them as the Horrible HABS. He had many talents, unbeknownst too many was his gift for writing. His carpentry skills are evident in the home he built for Val and himself, taking pride in its beauty. His passion for gardening shone in its glory when you came to his home, and as close friends know he always said, “Stay off my Grass!”.
John always referred to his home in Kimberley as “God’s country”. He’s now gone on his new journey to reunite with his family, friends and beloved dog Gebeau that also had passed over the years.
