It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Olga Helen MacDonald on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Cranbrook BC.

Olga was born June 23, 1940 in Nelson BC but spent most of her life in Cranbrook where she married and lived with her husband of 41 yrs, Gerald (Jake) MacDonald.  She worked at the RCMP and Insurance related offices until Multiple Sclerosis cut her working life short. In spite of a lengthy illness, she always remained positive and found joy in the little things, whether it be camping, a quick trip to the casino or a game of cards with friends. Her biggest joy was always her family. After her husband’s passing she became active in the Seniors Community competing in the Senior Games and assisted with securing the Gerald Jolliffe Memorial foot Bridge that connects Joseph Creek Care Village with the Tamarack Mall.

Olga was predeceased by her mother Helen, her husband Jake and her sisters Nina and Nora.  She is survived by her sons Mike (Maria), Gord (Jodie) and her grandchildren Roberto, Kelly and Carlos as well as Brett and Matthew.
