Obituary of Rosalie Marie Augustine

Rosalie Marie Augustine

June 6, 1943 – April 8, 2021

Rosalie Augustine, went on her final journey to meet her Heavenly Father on Thursday afternoon, April 8th.  She passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. Her faith and hope remained steadfast, and she was never worried about her future. Rosalie’s faith was a strength for her and her family as she anticipated eternity.

Rosalie was born in Prince George, B.C., and was raised on a family homestead near the meeting of the Salmon and Fraser Rivers. She had a love for taking long walks to enjoy nature and travelling with her husband to memorable vacation spots on white sandy beaches. She enjoyed her lifetime hobbies of gardening, sewing, knitting, and quilting. Over the years, Rosalie gifted her quilts to many, and they may be found in various corners of the world.

Rose Marie was a wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend who was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Paul Augustine. She will also be missed by her adoring three children, Brenda Augustine, Clayton (Maureen) Augustine and Colinda (Greg) MacPherson. Nana will also be dearly missed by her six grandchildren: Cheramy (Jory), Nelson (Hannah) and Marshall Augustine and Taylor, Farrah (Zach) and Major MacPherson. She will also be fondly remembered and missed by her siblings; Leah (Mike) Zimmer, Aimee (Sandra) Cheramy, Jean (Brandt) Zayac and nieces and nephews, friends, and church family.

Rosalie was pre-deceased by her sister Yvonne, her mother and father, Fernand and Emilia Cheramy, and grandson, Paul MacPherson.

We want to thank all the family loved ones who travelled from afar to say their goodbyes and all the friends who came to visit and sit by her side. We also want to make special mention of the Palliative Care Nursing team and the Community Care Aids who lovingly cared for Rose which enabled us to spend her last days by her side here at home. Your kindness was appreciated so much and will always be remembered.

There will be a private family service on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 1:00 pm. To take part virtually, please go onto www.mcphersonfh.com and click on LIVE SERVICES at the top, a few minutes prior to 1:00pm MST.
