Obituary of Terrill Patricia MacDonald

Terrill Patricia MacDonald

Nee Willicome

September 23, 1941 – March 27, 2021

It is with sadness, balanced with fond memories, that we announce that Terrill Patricia, “Grandma Bob”, has started her next journey up the Spirit Trail on March 27, 2021.

Born in Cranbrook, B.C., Terrill attended Mount Baker High School before attending the Marvel Beauty School in Trail, B.C. She married Joseph MacDonald in 1958 and began raising their family. Her cooking skills were second to none as several Columbia Valley fine dining restaurants that employed her as a chef, will attest. Terrill had most fun while working the bar at the Columbia Inn back in the day. When not employed, she worked side by side with her husband, setting up the tipi camp for the horse logging operation. She especially loved the Percheron Draft Horse Team, Caesar, and Brutus. Not a crack shot, but Terrill would shoot the occasional grouse with her own 22 rifle. Always proud, forever strong, Terrill fought breast cancer and won. Her leisure hours were spent with dear friends or reading books and doing puzzles. Terrill’s grand children and great grand children filled her later years with delight and love.

Terrill will be lovingly remembered by her husband Joe of 62 years and their children, Jeff (Tricia), Jerome (Denise), Lila (Doug), and Danny (Joseé). “Grandma Bob” will also be fondly remembered by her grand children Jacqueline (Stephen), Jenna (Chris), Jay and Jasper, great grandchildren, Saxon, Sophie, Joelan and Jagger will always carry with them the love and joy she spread. Terrill will be forever remembered by her brother Syd (Hilde), her two sisters Sheila (Dave) and Diane as well as her many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Terrill was predeceased by her parents, Sydney Willicome and Nellie May (nee Burton) and her brother-in-law Melvin Andrews.

In honouring Terrill’s wishes there will be no services. Immediate family will celebrate her life at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Terrill can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. https://www.heartandstroke.ca/
