George Thorogood and the Destroyers coming

One of the top rockin’ and boogie blues acts from the 1980s will be making an appearance at Cranbrook’s Western Financial Place on April 24 (2016).

GeoThoGeorge Thorogood, now 65, recorded some of the most popular ‘party tunes’ of the 1980s, including One Scotch, One Bourbon and One Beer, a song originally popularized by John Lee Hooker.

Other rollicking hits for the two-time platinum and six time gold record selling artist includes the snarling Bad to the Bone, a re-make of Hank Williams’ Move it on Over, I Drink Alone, Gear Jammer, a fierce re-make of Chuck Berry’s It Wasn’t Me and a host of other re-makes of classic blues and rock n roll artists and self-penned gems such as Delaware Slide.

Being presented by The Drive (102.9), tickets for the George Thorogood & The Destroyers show go on sale Oct. 2, online and at Western Financial Place.
