Kimberley Artists Gathering May long

PrintThis May long weekend (May 20 to 23) independent musicians from Vancouver to Winnipeg will be gathering in Kimberley for the Kimberley Artist Gathering.

You can see them perform, along with some great local musicians at these multi-artist shows, taking place Friday, May 20 at the Green Door and Saturday, May 21 at Centre 64.

Performing on Friday, May 20 at the Green Door (180 Spokane Street) will be: Vancouver’s Colourful Language, Kelowna’s Alisha & Seth, Vernon’s Carolyn Anele, Medicine Hat’s Ali Sellin and local talent James Neve (aka Lonesome Jim).

centre64_posterPerforming on Saturday, May 21 at Centre 64 (64 Deer Park Ave.) will be: Winnipeg’s Janzen Boys, Kelowna’s Smith & Fraser, Vancouver’s Modus Operandi (contemporary dancers) and Kimberley’s Jim Marshall.

There will also be free outdoor concerts at the Platzl Stage on Saturday and Sunday afternoons from noon to 3 p.m.

The weekend of musical fun is being sponsored by the Fisher Peak Performing Arts Society and the Chateau Kimberley Hotel and Art Gallery.
