Wapiti lands CBC sponsorship

This summer catch the hottest indie bands on the CBC Stage at the Wapiti Music Festival!

Wapiti welcomes CBC Radio One on board as the Premier Media Sponsor, for a weekend of fresh Canadian indie hosted by CBC’s radio personalities.

Committed to Canadian and committed to fresh indie, this was an easy match!

The CBC Stage at Wapiti will showcase bands and artists from across Canada.

Montreals Plants and Animals and West Coast favourites Current Swell Headline. Loon Choir, Shred Kelly, Portage and Main, No Sinner and David Celia are set to rock. Cranbrooks breakout stars, The Good Ol’ Goats from the CBC Searchlight contest will also take the stage.

The Wapiti Music Festival runs two days, Friday, August 9 and Saturday the 10th. Plan to join the kickoff Friday evening and dance into the night, return Saturday for a full day and night of entertainment.  Expect to rock, expect to dance, expect the unexpected.

The festival is held in Fernie’s riverside Annex Park.

Children 12 and under and adults 65 and older are FREE. Weekend passes are on sale, advance pricing available.
