Wapiti starting to take shape

Get them while you can!

Tickets are now on sale for Fernie’s annual Wapiti Music Festival.

The first tier starts at $35 including tax and climbs up as each tier continues to sell out. Tickets can be purchased online or at Le Grand Fromage downtown Fernie.

So who’s playing?

You’re asking so we’re telling! With more band announcements to come, the official All-Canadian Fresh Indie line up to date includes:

Starting on the East Coast of Canada, Wapiti has picked up rockers Plants and Animals from Montreal (pictured above). Moving west, Ottawa’s latest party band Loon Choir. Over on the west coast, the bluesy songstress No Sinner and all-around Fernie favourite Current Swell. Portage and Main, Shred Kelly and Cranbrook breakout stars The Good Ol’ Goats will also take the stage.

Visit the Wapiti website for the full lineup, band bios and advance ticket sales.

The Wapiti Music Festival runs two days, Friday, August 9 and Saturday the 10th.

Plan to join the kickoff Friday evening and dance into the night, return Saturday for a full day and night of entertainment.

Expect to rock, expect to dance, expect the unexpected. Children 12 and under and adults 65 and older are free.
