First-time event a Wild success for Elkford
The District of Elkford went Wild the weekend of Feb. 24 – 26 when it hosted Winter in the Wild.
The weekend-long festival, featuring a myriad of family and fun events, all based around the special bent of winter, was deemed by organizers to be a smash success and the first of more to come in subsequent years.
From the colourful procession to the ski hill Friday night, topped with a torchlight parade, fireworks and more, to Sunday’s Preschool Pizza and Dance at the rec centre banquet room, Winter in the Wild proved to be a hit with Elkford residents and visitors.
