Boil Water Notice lifted

The City of Kimberley has received the results of recent water testing and has lifted the Boil Water Notice put into place Monday.

While the chlorine residual for the Matthew Creek Water System was restored to normal levels later Feb. 2, the city had to submit water samples for testing to ensure that the water was safe.

The city noted Feb. 3 that water users may notice a stronger chlorine smell over the next few days. This is due to the extra chlorine that was added to the system during repairs. The smell should dissipate by the end of the week if not sooner.

The Boil Water Notice covered the areas of Marysville and Riverside Campground west of town.
