CFES contains Gold Creek blaze to shop and trailer

At 1:12 a.m., March 16, Cranbrook Fire and Emergency Services responded to a 911 call for a structure fire in the Gold Creek area.

Upon arrival the first responding firefighters found a workshop to be fully involved and the trailer unit of a tractor-trailer parked nearby on fire. In total one fire engine, two tenders and 18 fire personnel responded to the incident. The fire was contained to the workshop and trailer. There were no injuries as a result of the incident, reported CFES Fire Chief Wayne Price.

The fire is currently under investigation by the RCMP.

Damages to the building and trailer are estimated to be over $150,000.
