A few things

Congratulations to all the kids at Eileen Madson Primary School and Edgewater Elementary School who managed to get through my gruelling and demanding bike course. Everyone passed and we had no injuries. Good job.

My thanks to the town’s work yard for providing the extra cones.

With our DTSS floor hockey challenge cup semifinals, the detachment is up 1-0 in the best out of three. Game two is slated for next week as our all-star goaltender Grant Simpson is out of action.

A student goaltender was offered but we determined none to be as good as Grant. Also, we would not want to put our trust in a student to throw the game on us. Speaking of the floor hockey challenge, Hoobernoff’s team, the Leafs, failed to even make the playoffs. Last place! Hard to believe that I was worried. I will keep you posted.

Cram the Cruiser

RCMPCramCruiserTwo valley events: Canal Flats Days and the July 1 parade will have Cram the Cruiser. I will remind everyone often. Let’s get food and donation for the Canal Flats Food Bank and July 1 parade. Everyone on the parade route, bring some food and we will pack the Food Bank.

PS: Did I mention Hoobernoff didn’t make the playoff? Yes, I see I did mention Hoobernoff didn’t make the playoffs. Must be some reason that I want to make it clear that Hoobernoff didn’t make the playoffs.
