Cranbrook RCMP Report
The following is a synopsis of calls received by Cranbrook RCMP starting on the weekend of Feb 8 to Feb. 15.
The detachment received 94 calls for service throughout the week.
– Police responded to seven collisions, including four failing to remain at the scene. The driver/registered owner was charged in all four incidents for Motor Vehicle Act charges plus one impaired driver charged after taking out a stop sign on Cranbrook St N/ Van Horne on (Feb. 11 at 12:45 a.m.)
– One 12-hour suspension;
– One collision that resulted in Motor Vehicle Act charge;
– 11 Mental Health Act calls with one individual accounting for six complaints; four apprehended in total;
– Five assault complaints: two arrested /charged/ two domestic in nature;
– Eight thefts (four were shoplifting);
– Two break and enters into residences;
