A health and wellness first in Kimberley

On February 4, 60 of Kimberley’s health and wellness professionals and practitioners gathered for a networking session at the Kimberley Conference and Athlete Training Centre hosted by the Kimberley A GP for Me Advisory Committee.

The evening offered the opportunity for this diverse group (chiropractors, pharmacists, family practitioners, midwives, naturopaths, nurses, and registered massage therapists to name a few) to meet and learn more about each other’s practices and how they might work together for a healthier Kimberley.

Information was provided about the A GP For Me Initiative, including the Healthy Kimberley project and the SCOPE BC Live 5-2-1-0 program to be launched over the next few months in our community through the East Kootenay Division of Family Practice and Columbia Basin Trust.

(A GP for Me is a joint initiative of the Government of BC and Doctors of BC)
