McDougall returns as Sparwood’s Mayor
District of Sparwood voters returned to the past Nov. 15, voting Cal McDougall to the mayor’s seat.
McDougall pulled in 348 votes to district councillor Joanne Wilton’s 331 votes. Hungry Baytaluke received 255 votes and Bev Bellina had 71.
The six top vote earners for council were: John Baher (595 votes); Jenna Jensen (572); Joe Jarina (548); Margaret McKie (505); Lois Halko (489); Brad Bowen (478).
