I am very excited to announce that the BC’s Mobile Medical Unit is coming to Fernie for two full days of education and in-servicing for staff and our Emergency Response Community Agencies.

I would like to extend our warmest invitation for you all to come down and participate in the experience and learn what this Mobile Medical Unit can provide to our community, emergency services and to our medical staff within the Elk Valley and surrounding areas.

There will be an open house in the main parking lot of the Elk Valley Hospital on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., whereby you can receive a tour of the facility and observe some of the valuable training that will be going on.

The formal educational sessions will be on the June 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Space will be limited on this day to ER staff and Emergency Personnel.
