The venue has been booked and excitement is in the air. The Elk Valley Relay for Life 2014 will be held in Sparwood on June 21, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sparwood Leisure Centre.

According to Community Giving Coordinator Jenn Smith, “It is the Elk Valley Relay and it’s important to share this great community event around the valley. Over the years we’ve had great participant/team support from all three communities (Fernie, Sparwood and Elkford) no matter where the event has been held. Holding the Relay in Sparwood is a great way to refresh the event, get new people involved, spread the fun, sense of community and hope that Relay For Life offers.”

There will be an Information Session held on February 4 at the Causeway Bay Hotel in Sparwood in the conference room between 6– 8 p.m. There will be food, refreshments and door prizes. This event is open to everyone in the Elk Valley to drop by and learn more about Relay For Life, How you can participate and How you can help out.
