Suspicious vehicle leads to seizure of copper wire
On September 16, Cranbrook RCMP was notified of a suspicious individual talking about having stolen wire in his vehicle in a parking lot on Baker St. RCMP arrived and located a trailer with an extensive amount of copper wire in the back.
The majority of the wire was not stripped heavy gauge “Tech wire” in various lengths. All the wire was used and appeared very weathered. The wire is estimated to weigh between approximately 250-500lbs.
RCMP is attempting to locate the owners of the wire and asking anyone who might be missing copper wire to contact them at 250-489-3471.
