BC SPCA East Kootenay Branch Happenings

Debbie is an anxious cat that is looking for a home as soon as possible as the shelter is not her favourite place to be. She was left at our door step about two months ago. Since then she has worked her way into many staff members hearts! She is looking for a home where she is the only cat. Once Debbie gets to know you she will curl up on your lap for hours! She really enjoys her cuddles and grooming sessions:)

Become a BC SPCA member!

The BC SPCA invites you to help direct the mission, vision and activities of the society by becoming a member. Members participate in the governance of the BC SPCA by electing local community councils and the provincial board of directors, who set the long-term direction for the organization. Members are also entitled to attend general meeting of the BC SPCA and to attend and vote at meetings of their local SPCA.

BC SPCA branches hold the annual meeting in the spring and are often looking for new members to sit on local community councils. These important councils provide governance support to the BC SPCA and assist in areas such as education, advocacy and fundraising. Please contact your local branch for more information on how to get involved. Membership forms are available online at spca.bc.ca/membership or at the local East Kootenay SPCA branch.

Bronson needs your help!

Bronson arrived with ears and a tail blackened and dead from frostbite. The agony he was in was obvious and heartbreaking.  Luckily he was found and was taken to the vet right away.  He is now at the East Kootenay Shelter under our care until he receives the treatment he needs and heals up.  If you would like to donate or see his story please visit www.give2gether.com/projects/Bronson.

Loki is a wonderful kitty! He has lived comfortably with other cats but would do best in a home with no dogs. Loki is extremely affectionate and loves being groomed. He would do good in a family home as he has so much love to give!
