2020 Wings Over the Rockies cancelled

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to numerous event and travel restrictions and advisories, aimed at reducing the spread of the virus for the well-being of all. The situation has affected virtually everyone in some way and the Wings festival is no exception.

In light of the decisions made by the provincial and Canadian governments, all 100 events for the 2020 Wings Over the Rockies Nature Festival have been cancelled to protect the health of our participants, presenters, volunteers and community. The week-long festival was to begin May 11.

The decision to cancel the 2020 festival was not taken lightly. The steps we all take now allow us to plan for much better outcomes in the future.

With that in mind, Wings will be creating a dynamic festival next year (May 10-16, 2021), to connect people to the remarkable nature and culture of the Upper Columbia Valley.

Wings became one of the largest wildlife festivals in Canada, in part, through the ongoing support of our donors. Please support the businesses that are suffering during this pandemic. They have supported Wings Over the Rockies since our founding.

Wings wishes you good health while we weather the virus. While keeping your physical distancing, be sure to take some time to recharge in nature.
