Mainroad East Kootenay Contracting reported at 10:04 p.m. (Dec. 20)  that Toby Creek Road is currently closed in both directions due to avalanche risk.

An assessment will be conducted at first light Saturday morning. The estimated time of opening is unknown at this time.
