Effective immediately, Tuesday, June 2, a BOIL WATER NOTICE has been issued for the Edgewater Water System.

Due to high turbidity levels in Lake Baptiste, the Regional District of East Kootenay (RDEK) and Interior Health recommend that all customers on the Edgewater Water System use boiled water or a safe alternative until further notice.

Water intended for drinking, washing fruits or vegetables, making juice or ice, or brushing teeth should be boiled at a rolling boil for at least ONE MINUTE.

The RDEK and Interior Health apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience during this time.
