CFFR unveils new fire rescue truck
The Village of Canal Flats Fire and Rescue Service (CFFR) unveiled its new Fire Rescue truck April 1.
The truck is a 2006 model and was purchased from the City of Calgary Fire Department, the Village of Canal Flats reported on social media.
The aluminum body truck features a light tower; jaws of life air pump; 25,000-watt generator; hose and cord reels; and auto tire chains. The truck was recently repainted with Canal Flats Fire and Rescue logos.
The total cost was paid out of the fire equipment capital reserve, the village noted.
“It replaces a 1994 GM crew cab truck which no longer met the needs of the CFFR.”
The Canal Flats Fire and Rescue Service is always looking for dedicated recruits. Email Fire Chief Zacc Farrell, [email protected], if you are interested in serving, education and training as a fire fighter.
