Dangerous drugs stolen in vehicle B&E

On Tuesday, July 14, in the early morning hours, Columbia Valley RCMP responded to a theft from a vehicle in the industrial area in Invermere.

When police arrived they discovered that other vehicles had also been broken into.

One of the vehicles broken into belonged to a physician and as the investigation progressed it was discovered that the first aid kit kept in the vehicle was missing. It was immediately reported to the police on July 22.

“The first aid kit contained numerous medical supplies, including a variety of IV medications. If these drugs are not administered by a trained medical professional, they could prove to be lethal,” said Sgt Darren Kakuno, Columbia Valley RCMP Detachment commander.

If you have any information about this, please contact the Columbia Valley RCMP 250-342-9292 or Crime Stoppers at 1(800) 222-8477.
