Traffic now moving at Dutch Creek

UPDATE: As of 4:35 p.m. traffic is moving – single lane – at Dutch Creek.

DriveBC reports that Highway 93/95 will remain closed indefinitely until a geotechnical assessment can be completed of the Dutch Creek Hoodoos.

A slice of the Hoodoos calved off earlier today, closing the road and the north-south flow of the highway with no detour available.

The rockslide is on the Dutch Creek Hoodoos curve, between Westside Road (Fairmont Hot Springs) and the Dutch Creek bridge.

Another update is anticipated around 5 p.m.
