37th Lake Bonspiel this weekend
Invermere’s Kinsmen Beach is the place to be this weekend for enjoying the great outdoors in the Columbia Valley.
Along with the 11th annual Snowflake Festival running tomorrow evening (Friday, Jan. 17) and the Whiteway Winter Challenge on Sunday, January 19, Kinsmen Beach will be taken over by hardy curlers and fans and the 37th annual Bonspiel-on-the-Lake.
The bonspiel begins Friday evening, Jan. 17 and runs to Sunday, Jan. 19, with 64 teams from around B.C., Alberta, Washington and Montana, as well as plenty of locals, taking part in the always different ‘spiel thanks to Mother Nature.
There is a warm concession hut with tasty treats available for those being bitten by the cold.
