Please be advised that the District of Invermere will be running a pilot project this summer to change the traffic configuration in Athalmer.

“Lane changes configurations on Laurier Street from the bridge on the Columbia River to the bridge on CP Railway will be occurring and dedicated turning left hand lanes will be created. In addition, a dedicated left-hand turn signal will be installed on the west bound lanes at the Third Avenue intersection,” the district noted in a social media alert.

Starting after May 25, the lane changes will be implemented with new line painting and signage as outlined on the attached concept plan (above).
