The District of Invermere is expanding the time frame for property owners to pay their 2020 utility bill.

“The District of Invermere council recognizes the extraordinary circumstances created by the (COVID-19) pandemic and the financial challenges these circumstances may be creating for some residents and businesses,” the district noted.

Based on that recognition, the district won’t enforce the five per cent penalty for late utility bills.

Property owners now have until Nov. 2 to pay their utility bill without penalty.
