Invermere Film Festival to donate proceeds
The Invermere Film Festival (formerly Mountainfilm), screening February 7-9 atĀ the Columbia Valley CentreĀ Theatre, will be providing proceeds toĀ Mountain of Hope and the Columbia Valley Food Bank.
Organizer Bill Johnston promises cinephiles āthree daysĀ of fun, films, and special guests with all.ā
Each of the evening films will featureĀ a special guestĀ who will join us and participateĀ in a Q&A at the end of theĀ film.
āFebruary 2020 will be the first year of what we hope and believe will be a long running annual event,ā Johnston said.
The festival will feature sixĀ films, with two screeningĀ each day; one at 3 p.m., and the otherĀ at 630 p.m.
Beer, wine, and pizza will be available at theĀ evening screenings, and popcorn and bottled water will be available at all screeningsĀ for aĀ small donation.
Johnston noted festival passes ($25 per) are selling quickly and are available online. Tickets for individual films are $10.
The festivalās new website is up and running and features all the information forĀ the three-day weekend, including the films, the schedule, and a link to buy tickets and passes, which are on sale now.
