No stop zone in KNP rescinded

Parks Canada has rescinded a ‘no stop’ order for a 15-km stretch of Highway 93, between McKay Creek operations centre and Settler’s Road in Kootenay National Park (KNP).

The order was enacted in mid-May to protect bears in the area, as well as people. It has been lifted because the bears have moved to higher elevations.
